Review by hotel critic
I recently spent a family trip at Taboo Muskoka, where we enjoyed a lakeview double bed suite for three nights. With children in tow, we found the location appealing, especially the children's playground and the multiple heated pools, where our kids splashed around joyfully. The recreation department hosted engaging activities, such as guided morning hikes and evening bonfires. Sportsland stood out as a haven for my family, providing ample opportunities for activities that kept my kids entertained. There were hiccups in service, particularly with some of the staff at the recreation center, which led to confusion over scheduled activities. We appreciated the well-maintained tennis courts, perfect for some family competition. The swimming pools were an enjoyable retreat, despite being a tad crowded. Dining options were pricier than expected, prompting us to venture offsite for meals. Taboo Muskoka has great potential with its family-friendly amenities, but attention to service could elevate the experience. We'll consider returning for another adventure.
